AENOR: Book I: The Promise

A promise can save a life. Or condemn an entire kingdom.

Kael is seventeen, with a house full of dust and a promise to keep.

When his brother Indra vanishes in an alley in Anart, swallowed by a cold light and an impossible phrase — “I found him” — Kael has no map, no answers, and no time. He has only his mother’s last words: bring him home.

Following the few traces left behind, Kael will venture far beyond the city he knows, through wounded lands, broken people, and archives where a name can be worth more than a life. But every answer opens another door, and behind each one lies a secret older and more dangerous than Indra’s disappearance.

To find his brother, Kael must learn whom to trust, what to sacrifice, and how heavy a promise can become when someone seems determined to erase every trace of Indra.

Because some people do not disappear by chance.
